Crocus

These crocuses are bursting with light as they emerge from the ground. I loved working with warm tones for the abstract background and used plastic wrap to create texture in the foreground. Preparing for spring, which is just around the corner (yes, it is!). For me, art is a sanctuary - a place where I can escape the chaos around me and slowly find my center again. Painting nature is such a great stress relief!
